WellCar Complete Benefits

Am I locked into a contract with WellCar?

No! That’s one of the great things about being a WellCar member. You can stop your benefits at anytime.

Can I enroll if I use my vehicle for ride hailing services?

No. Vehicles used for commercial purposes are not eligible at this time.

Can I enroll if I have a salvaged or grey market title?

Unfortunately, no. Vehicles with grey market or salvaged titles are not currently eligible for benefits.

Can I transfer my policy if I sell my vehicle?

Yes, you can transfer the benefits to a new owner by contacting our concierge team at 877-493-5522, or by emailing us at support@wellcar.us.

Do I pay for rental car benefits up front?

Rental car benefits can be paid directly by our claims department or subject to be reimbursement, depending on the rental car facility being used.

When does my service contract take effect?

Service contracts go into effect on the 1st day of the month following your enrollment. If you enroll July 15, your contract goes into effect August 1, as an example.

How can I add other drivers to my membership?

During enrollment, you have the ability to add drivers and their vehicles with you under a single enrollment. In addition, once you have enrolled in the WellCar COMPLETE program and downloaded our mobile application, you will have access to several benefits and features, including adding additional drivers to your membership. 

How do I file a claim?

To file a claim, log in to your WellCar Complete mobile app and click on 'claims' or call us at 877-493-5522 and press option '3'.

How do I use my roadside benefits?

If you are in need of towing or roadside assistance, log in to your WellCar Complete mobile app and click on 'roadside' to reach our roadside assistance team.

How does a deductible work?

Similar to a standard co-pay, your deductible will be due and paid by you to the repair facility once all repairs have been completed.

How are claims paid for?

All claims are paid directly to the repair facility with a corporate credit card.

If my vehicles has modifications, can I still enroll?

Certain modifications can void eligibility for coverage. Vehicles with performance enhancements like chips, headers, and tuners, or modifications like leveling kits, lifts greater than a 3", or snow plows are not eligible for coverage. Contact our concierge team with additional questions regarding modifications at 877-493-5522.

Where can I take my vehicle to be fixed?

WellCar polices are nationwide and can be used at any dealership or ASE certified repair facility.

Are there mileage restrictions with WellCar?

WellCar benefits do not have mileage restrictions.

Can I get WellCar for a leased car?

Yes. Leased vehicles have a leaseholders warranty, after that has expired, we recommend protecting yourself with a WellCar Complete program.

Do I qualify for WellCar if my vehicle is used?

Yes, WellCar covers new and pre-owned vehicles. Find out more about our benefits by clicking 'get free quote'.

Do you cover pre-existing conditions?

WellCar does not cover pre-existing conditions. Please fix any outstanding issues prior to enrolling for benefits.

Does my vehicle need an inspection?

No, our benefits do not require a vehicle inspection to enroll.

Does WellCar cover maintenance?

If your vehicle is under the manufacturers base warranty, WellCar complete has maintenance coverage including oil changes, brakes, batteries, wiper blades and more. If your vehicle is outside of the manufactureres warranty, our partnership with OpenBay gives you access to a network of service centers that will save you up to 25% on service events.

Does WellCar cover parts and labor?

The mechanical protection portion of WellCar's complete program covers parts, labor, diagnostics, taxes, and more.

How are claims paid?

All claims are paid directly to the repair facility with a corporate credit card.

How can I get another copy of my benefits?

To get another copy of your fulfillment kit, email support@wellcar.us.

What is the deductible and how does it work?

Similar to a standard co-pay, your deductible will be due and paid by you to the repair facility once all repairs have been completed. Deductibles range from $50 to $150 per event and depend on how many miles are on your vehicle at the time of the repair.

If I file a claim, will my premium increase?

No. That is one of the great benefits of WellCar! Your premium stays the same for as long as you have the benefits.

What if I break down away from home?

WellCar complete includes trip interruption to help with the costs of breaking down while you are away from home. If you are more than 100 miles from home, we will reimburse up to $150 per day for a total of $500 per event for lodging and meals. Simply use your mobile app to call for roadside assistance, have your car towed to the nearest facility and click claims from the mobile app to start the process.

What is covered with WellCar?

What kind of parts are used when repairing my vehicle?

Repair facilities may use new, re-manufactured, or used parts of like kind and quality when repairing or replacing covered parts.

When do my WellCar benefits expire?

Once enrolled, your WellCar benefits will never expire. You can keep our benefits as long as you would like.

Where can I see a sample contract?

To download the full terms and conditions of the benefits, simply click 'get free quote' and enter your vehicle information.

Why do I need WellCar if I can work on my own car?

Vehicle technology is always evolving which is making it more challenging to fix your own vehicles. Most repairs now require specially trained mechanics and technology that can only be found at local repair facilities and dealerships.

Mobile Application

How do I change my payment method?

You can update your method of payment by logging in to your WellCar Complete mobile app and selecting settings. From the settings page, you can view and edit your payment details. 

How do I access WellCar Mobile App?

WellCar COMPLETE Mobile App is available for download through Google Play and the Apple Store. 

Where can I find my login for the Mobile Application?

When you open our mobile application, please select the blue highlighted text, "Need Help Logging In" from the main login screen of the mobile application and follow the prompts.

Billing

What method of payment can I use?

If your employer has enabled Payroll Deduct your payment will be through your paycheck directly, according to your payroll cycle. Otherwise, we accept all major credit and debit cards and soon will enable Apple Pay, Google Pay and even PayPal.

Can I change my due date?

If you enrolled under a direct pay option, you can change your due date by contacting concierge at support@wellcar.us, by dialing 877-493-5522, or by chat at mywellcar.com.

If I cancel my benefits, when can I re-enroll?

If you elect to stop your benefits, you can reapply when invited to do so by your employer, or after 90 days from the date of cancellation.

Industry Terms

Do service contracts cover accidents?

No. Vehicle service contracts are used in the event of a mechanical breakdown. Accidents are covered under a collision insurance plan.

What is a grey market or salvaged title?

A grey market title, also known as an overseas vehicle, is a vehicle that was brought into the US from another country. A salvaged title is a vehicle that has suffered significant damage in the past and an insurance company has declared it a total loss.

What is a VIN number?

A VIN (vehicle identification number) is a serial number specific to your vehicle and generally contain 17 characters. You can most easily locate your VIN by looking through the driver side windshield at the dashboard or on the driver's side door jam.

What's the difference between a service contract and an extended warranty?

Both service contracts and extended warranties provide some element of repair or maintenance for vehicles. Extended warranties are an extension of your original manufacturer's warranty. Vehicle service contracts, often referred to as an extended warranty, provides repair coverage for your vehicle after the manufacturer's warranty has expired. WellCar is not affiliated with vehicle manufacturers or dealers.
